• Define the BBL fan experience
Cricket Australia (CA) is one of the nations premier sporting bodies, with a vision for Cricket to be Australias favourite sport. Operating within the sports and entertainment industry, CA offers an exciting and dynamic working environment, and is responsible for overseeing and developing cricket on a national level.
The Big Bash League (BBL) is a key strategic initiative of CA and will be launched in December 2011. Contested by eight new teams with new and unique identities, the BBL provides Australian Cricket with the opportunity to build a new generation of passionate cricket fans.
The BBL Fan Engagement Manager will ensure that the BBL delivers against CAs strategic priority of putting fans first. This role will drive key activities such as promotional campaigns, membership services, digital communications, and match day presentation to deliver an outstanding experience for the fans and create lasting memories. Where possible this will be achieved by leveraging the opportunities presented by emerging communication technologies.
Working closely with CAs Cricket Marketing Services Department and each of the BBL Teams, the Fan Engagement Manager will accept nothing less than operational excellence in service delivery for members and fans.
The ideal candidate will be tertiary qualified in communications or marketing with significant experience in the delivery of sport or entertainment experiences. An understanding of membership services and fan engagement through digital media would be a distinct advantage.
